Keeping up with his stats that he brought with him into the world, Eamon is still holding strong in the 90th percentile for weight and height. He weighs just shy of 12 pounds which is up from 10 lbs 5 oz just 2 short weeks ago. Eamon does NOT take eating lightly whereas Jack can eat 2 bites of something and "all done." 23 inches long and his head is growing nicely. Eamon is wearing 3-6 month clothes right now and they are getting snug. I'm hoping that he will be able to wear Jack's winter clothes that he wore at 12 months! I love how different they are.

Today we went to the local Malloween. It's where you can trick-or-treat at the mall in the blissfully cool air conditioning. Jack was dressed as a train conductor. It was the first trip I took with the boys that wasn't to a child specific location. Eamon was in the stroller and I slung Jack on my back. I absolutely do not wish to walk across a parking lot and have Jack either run away from me as fast as he can or throw himself on the ground in a fury (two of his favorite things, by the way). We met up with some friends and took a ride in the space shuttle.





As I predicted.. as soon Jack put his little feet on the ground, he was off running. I ran after him while shouting to my friends, "WATCH EAMON FOR ME!" I have a feeling that's going to be a recurring phrase in my life. So we wrangled Jack into my friend's Sit and Stand stroller and shoved some sugar into his mouth and everything was hunky dorey. That stroller is amazing. I may have to sell some organs to get it, but I'm willing.




Off to the bounce house to wear off some of that sugar energy. The picture sums it up.



By coincidence, the Aries rocket was scheduled to launch and we were in prime location to see it. I pulled over to go to the beach and walked over with the boys. We watched it fly into the air and Jack was actually interested in it... until he thought he spotted his girlfriend Lucy on the beach. In reality it was just random people and for some reason he thinks everyone is Lucy. So he wants to go to the water which is a nice hike and I'm carrying 2-ton Eamon... no less than 25 pounds total. I tell Jack that we have to go back to the car so, naturally, he throws himself on the sand and starts rolling around. I grab the back of his overalls and carry both of my children back to the car. One kicking and screaming and the other sleeping peacefully. I got stares in the parking lot. I was THAT mom today.

Besides from that first little incident I wrote about previously, we haven't really had too many issues between Jack and Littlest Man. Jack is actually really cute to Eamon. Whenever the baby cries, he always tells me, "Mama, baby!" He has learned how to gently put the pacifier in Eamon's mouth (although I have to watch because he'll want to have a go at it first before he gives it to the baby... that's how Eamon got sick in his 2nd week, I think). Sometimes Jack tries to get Eamon to play with him. Jack will hold Eamon's hand and say "walk" or show him is beloved Thomas train. Cutest of all is that he randomly walks over to Eamon and kisses and hugs him. Of course, Jack's hugs without parental intervention would suffocate Eamon.. but it's the thought that counts.

1 month ago today, my little angel baby, Eamon, was born. He's so big already! He's started to hold his head up and follow objects put in front of his face. I don't know how much he weighs, but let's put it this way: he is wearing a diaper cover that Jack wore when he was around 6 months old. He is such a sweet baby with a total chill out attitude. He is the type of baby that makes you wanna have 10 more... yeah right!

This weekend we went to a local carnival in Cocoa Beach. There were only a couple rides that Jack could go on, but he loved it. The merry-go-round was his favorite. He chose to ride Sea Buscuit... can we say potential degenerate gambler?? Eamon was there as well so technically it was his first carnival, too, except he slept the entire time in my sling and no one even knew he was there.

Here's one of our favorite places to go when it's just too darn hot to go outside. It's an indoor play area complete with a Thomas the Train set! On this day we went with Grandpa, Uncle Steven and Kara. Jack had a great time especially in the bounce house with Steve.

It's finally fall! At least for the next couple of days until it heats back up to the mid 80s again. We went to the pumpkin patch this morning with our friends for our annual photo shoot. Here's the kids from last year... okay I can't find it. So here are some from this year!

As of yesterday, Eamon was 3 oz away from birth weight and doing wonderfully. He is a pretty laid back baby except when he's hungry. I don't think I've ever heard a newborn scream that loud. It will jump you out of your seat.

Jack is still adjusting. He's pretty much attached to his pacifier nowadays and I'm not going to take it away from him or make a big deal out of it. It seems to be his safety net and he probably needs a little extra security in this time of adjustment. I did put him in his first time out yesterday which was very sad for all. Jack and I were coloring and the baby was in his swing sleeping soundly. Jack gets up very calmly, grabs a toy, walks over to the baby, and whacks him over the head. Poor Eamon didn't know what the heck happened! I usually think that time-outs are wasted on children this young, but this time I had to do something since it was an unprovoked attack... although come to think of it, how much provoking can a 2 week old do???

Anyway, today we had our first outing of just Mama and the boys. We went to the park just down the road and I took the fat lady way out - I drove the 2/10ths of a mile. We had fun looking at the birds and watching the lawn guys and, of course, the swing and slide. Eamon slept peacefully in my sling the whole time. Maybe I can handle this 2 kid thing....
