Mayme and Poppy visit

Mayme and Poppy came to visit Jack this weekend. Jack got to stay up late, got some AWESOME early birthday presents, and absolutely loved every second with his grandparents. They really are amazing with him and I'm so thankful Jack has grandparents like them in his life... Eamon, too!

Jack's new ATW - that's ALL TERRAIN WAGON!!
by the way, is Poppy sleeping in the middle of a job??

Arthur battery operated train track. He watches it go around and around and around and around....

Mayme & Eamon in the tub. Mayme can't believe that one of her grandsons DOESN'T scream the whole time in the bath like Jack has done with her his whole life

aww!

It turned out to be a beautiful day so we took a walk to the beach. I'm hoping and praying that spring is here to stay ... I miss the beach

me & E

he's loving the wagon

"ahh, my friend, the beach. How I've missed thee"

Matt is on guard for diving seagulls

We saw a sea turtle!

check out Eamon just chillin

Poppy aka Karate Kid practicing The Crane

The clouds were beautiful, too

No matter how many times we say he's not going to get wet, he always does

I just wanted to show you a pic from the back so you can see my nifty wrapping job

This is why I wear Eamon on my back.. so I can hold my big boy in my arms

The men checking things out from above

My son will kill me one day

Don't hate on us, Bobbly Flay

We got our new grill this weekend - Char-Broil Commercial something-or-other. Isn't she sweet?? We christened her with "Matt's Fatty's" aka burgers this weekend and they were the best ones he's ever made. I can't wait to crank this baby up for some Jack 2nd birthday grilling!

I call her Maggie.

Wafting up the "licious" as Jack would say

Squeezing something out

As Jim Raines noted, I am *always* on the cutting edge of fashion, especially at 8PM Monday night in my garage.

Oh, you didn't know 1995 gangsta girl baggy flannel was back in style? Well, now you know. Thanks to me. You're welcome.

Hanging with Mommy & Daddy

Who's upside down, me or him?

Daddy and all his boys

Matt is really in awe of something

Eamon is really into Matt right now. Whenever Matt comes home, Eamon practically dive bombs into his arms.

Another upside down pic

my sweet snuggle wuggle muffin

Love you, Pops!

New Tricks

Eamon says, "Hey, I'm almost 5 months old. Enough of this sitting junk!"

I want to get OUT!

Doing the sexy pose
Below is a pic of Jack doing the same sexy pose at the same age (maybe Jack is a few weeks older)

Look how high I can lift my butt

Holding 18 pounds upright all day long really makes my wrists hurt. Sometimes you just gotta do the shirt pull

Jack reached a new level in Raines Hair-Stylin:

Yes, that is a massive sleep nest on the back of his head. It will stay there all day. No water, no combing, nothing will keep it down. I actually cut out his first dread that was forming on the side of his head. Just like I did for his Daddy when I first met him 7 years ago... aww!

I Love....

I sing this song to Jackson when he is overstimulated, tired, or just plain cranky. It's called "I Love..." I shall sing a few notes for you *ahem* "I love Jackson, I love Eamon, I love Daddy, I love Barley.." et cetera et cetera. If you're reading this, your name probably pops up in the song from time to time. It's the height of creativity. Here's how the lyrics went today:

Me: "I looooove Jackson, I looooooove Eamon, I loooove"

Jack: "I WUV THONAS (Thomas the Train)!"

Me: "Okay, I looooove Thomas, I looove Daddy..."

Jack: "I WUV PERCY!" (another train)

Hanging out in the Plumeria tree in the backyard.

He is determined to "accidentally" break that branch off

boys in the bath!

An Accidental First

Eamon had his first taste of solid food today... accidentally. I was holding both Eamon and a bowl of cereal while walking to the couch. Eamon reached out, grabbed a handful of LIFE cereal and shoved it in his mouth as quickly as he could. I frantically tried to fling all the bits of food out of his mouth saying, "I'm not ready for you to start eating yet!" I think he was planning that maneuver for days it was done so deftly.
