Thanksgiving
Matt and I hosted Thanksgiving with my family this year. We had my dad, my aunt Paula, Steven, Christopher, and Krystal. All the food came out great and we had such a fun time. I even made them do "Goods and Bads."
One bad thing did happen... I won my second Worst Mom Award during dinner (the 1st was when I saw my child run across the front lawn while I was in the house and had no idea he was out). Krystal saw Jack drinking out of Eamon's medicine bottle. Taking a big ole swig of peppermint flavored Zantac. We spent a little bit of time looking up Poison Control, but we think most of it spilled on the floor and not in his mouth. Why did I win the award? Because I never properly close bottle tops. I'm sure you've heard Matt scream about it at some point in our marriage. Bad mommy.

Dad & Eamon
Sister and Brother
Putting the turkey in the world's biggest fry pot
Turkey smoke in Steve's eyes
Some pre-turkey lovin
Basking in the sweet fry-turkey glow
Eamon loved hanging with his Great Aunt. Even if he did pee a little on her leg.
The Uncles!

He's got a little bit of a shoe fetish
The men in the kitchen.
Our meal. My first try at cheesy potatoes on the left, turkey in the middle and roasted veggies on the right. We also had stuffing.
This is right before Jack decided to almost poison himself.
Me and Littlest Man maxing and relaxing.
The girls decided to make pies. Pumpkin and apple. Turned out pretty good!
After dinner beach stroll.
I can't believe he went in the water. It was actually below 60 that day.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!

Monster Baby
Here are some pics of our monster baby next to some regular sized babies. On the left is Phoebe - brand new! - around 2.5 weeks old. On the right is Miriam - 6 months old. Eamon is a monster at 2 months!

Mir checking out Eamon

She is such a cutie!!

This is the Big Sibling Club. Cecelia (Miriam's big sis) and Jack. He's trying to smile and eating an M & M, hence the orange drool

I just had to snap this pic. "Nothing going on ova heah. Just 2 regular guys sitting on the couch. Badda bing"
Last week I took Eamon in to the doc because he was spitting up about 10,000 times a day. Okay, really like 30 times (not kidding) and being somewhat ornery which is usually is not. We ended up getting an upper GI test done that day and it confirmed my suspicion of acid reflux. Littlest Man is on liquid Zantac 3 times a day. He is so much better!! Back to his sweet angel baby self. About 90% reduction in spit up. Amazing stuff. She is such a cutie!!

Eamon sleeping on the couch at an angle so the reflux doesn't wake him up.
Jack desperately trying to do a summersault. Daddy taught him.

Chef Jack
I'm raising this kid Tiger Woods style. Only pots instead of clubs! Click on the pic and it will take you to my Picasa account where the video is loaded. Sorry about this, but blogger sucks sometimes.

Sunday evening beach
I saw the most beautiful ocean today. It looked like a Monet painting. The sky was a pinkish orangeish with a layer of clouds just touching the horizon. Then the dark blue ocean. In front of that were huge waves crashing... the flat water inbetween the waves had splotches of yellow-green on it. Almost like there was an oil spill of color. The bright pieces of sunlight that peeked between the condos illuminated the foamy white waves crashing on shore. The pictures didn't capture it's true beauty.

Eamon smiles! 7 weeks
We've had our first full-fledged social smile this past week. At first he was just pulling up one corner of his mouth.. almost like a teaser. Then he breaks out into this open mouthed, gummy grin that is just so beautiful!

Grammie and Grandpa Visit
Cold in the morning and then mid-70's in the afternoon... I love Florida fall. We've had a busy couple of weekends. First, Grammie and Grandpa came to visit us. This was their first time meeting Grandpa's birthday baby and namesake. I asked Grammie if she needed help getting the baby out of the car seat... I forget that she has just a wee bit of experience with children. 841 grandchildren will do that to you.

They're laughing because this is picture number 4 in the series of trying to get Jack to smile.

Yup, this is as good as you're gonna get. TRUCK!!

Here's Eamon experiencing his first cool spell. Those are wool pants on the bottom (for his cloth diapers) and then the green upper part is his swaddling blanket. He somehow managed to almost get both arms out of it.
Thanks for visiting us!! See you soon... in the dreaded snow. Ugh. That's gonna be fun. Did I mention that I can't get Jack to wear socks and shoes at the same time? He'll wear shoes, but they have to be sandals. He'll wear socks, but not with shoes. How am I gonna get him to wear warm enough clothes in below freezing weather??

Bath and Hot Dogs
Today I woke up to a smiling almost 6 week old and a still sleeping 20 month old. Does life get any better than that? Oh yeah, it's 73 degrees out. I'm going to the beach today.
