In the car

Jack: "Airplane! Airplane!"
Me: "Oh I see it.  It's flying in the sky."
Jack: "Where it going?"
Me: "It's flying to a city that's far away."
Jack: "Flying to it's Mommy."

Love him.

Paws On

Today was the first day that we went to the Paws On exhibit at the Brevard Zoo.  It's a hands-on learning center that was built just last year.  It has 2 wadding lagoons, a huge fish tank, beach, fishing area, whale slide, camping, and even a pet detective play area.  Oh, and I forgot - a petting zoo and play area!  It's an amazing addition to an already fantastic zoo.  We just renewed our membership so plan to see lots of pictures of us here.

Climbing the manatee.  He correctly named it, too.  I asked, "How do you know what this animal is called?" To which Jack replied, "DIEGO!"  Sometimes TV is good.

He absolutely loves the water

Haha!  I love this.  The life of a 2 year old.

All better!

"Taking a break"

Always trying to go where he's not supposed to be.

This is as good as a group shot as you're gonna get.  Love them!

A love story.....

Peg Leg

That's our new nickname for Eamon. He is fully crawling now and is all over the house. He does this crawl where he keeps his right leg straight out so he's only crawling on one knee - hence, peg leg. He is pulling up on everything and especially loves the train table. He can stand there for a long time and bang toys that make lots of noise. His favorite place to hangout is on the step between the 2 living rooms. All it took him was 2 days of practicing and now he can navigate up the step to explore greener pastures.. like under the table. You can't keep this kid down! Once he gets moving there is no stopping him. So, okay, he's crawling for about 2 weeks now, pulling up on everything, holding on with one hand, starting to creep around the furniture. Eamon thinks that means that, duh, I can stand on my own.. I don't need your stinking hand, mom! Not quite yet. He actually can balance for a second or two which is surprising. If we go by Jack's timeline (which we're totally not) Eamon could be walking in 2 months!! I'm not ready for 2 walking children!!! I am frightened.

Sadly, Eamon has been Super Mr. Cranky Pants these past couple of days. I think he's teething hardcore, but there is no tooth just yet. Just big bubbles in his mouth where teeth should be. And I found out that ice pops don't help teething babies. It just makes them cry worse.

Forgot to post this... Mother's Day with my messy boys

Below is a video of Eamon on the step

A friend's birthday party

On Sunday we had a birthday party to go to. A whole bunch of 2 year olds (and some older siblings), outside, water, ice cubes, awesome!

He didn't really get the whole slip-n-slide idea. More like walk-n-slip

Boy it's a hot one

Ice in the water table.. fun!

The boys mowing... Jack complaining

What is this green stuff on the ground? I only have dirt at my house

Grass really is nice

They're starting to wander

Looking for bugs

Hitching a ride

Yard upkeep is hard work

What a weekend

We had such a jam-packed weekend that just passed. Matt went to Cincinnati with other man-folk to see the Cardinals. We have no pictures of that weekend. That is a blessing. Meanwhile, in Florida... Grandpa came to visit! Uncle Chris and Krystal, too. Poor Uncle Chris. Jack was calling him Peter the whole time. Get your uncles straight, kid! He has 4 of them.. sometimes I have a hard time remembering their names.

5 minutes after arriving

Saturday we went to breakfast (mmm conch eggs benedict) and then hit the beach

Chris was obsessed with digging a hole for some reason. Jack's trying to get in it

The Chill Boys, skraight chillin

We are very much into trucks these days. We needed, not one, not two, but THREE trucks at the beach

I love Krystal's face in this one. "Yup, digging a hole. Why? Who friggin knows."

Gramps

Aww isn't that special

Get'em while they're down, that's what I always say

No one escapes the wrath of Grampa!

Hello, my name is Eamon and I eat sand. Lots of sand.

Don't kick water at my baby!
