Jack swimming
By the way, you have to click on the picture to view the video. Blogger takes WAY to long to upload so I have them on my Picasa account. Hope this helps!
Reluctant Waker
Apparently, I was a little premature in getting him up after his afternoon nap.
I'm awake now, Mommy. I promise...
okay, maybe not *just* yet
Okay, seriously.. getting up
Where's my coffee?
How hard is it to take 1 picture??
Just one picture that's not blurry, where I can see the subject(s) face clearly and the other items that I want to make up the composition of the photo in clear view as well. That's not too much to ask, is it? How hard can that be?!
Impossible.
Not much going on
So here are a few pictures from around the house these days...
At Cocoa Beach pool. I've never seen a baby that loves the water more than Eamon does
Jack went on vacation and he came back a swimmer! The Gestapo pool staff (as my Dad likes to call them) "recommend" the vest. It's actually nice because Jack can swim around and jump in the water without us being right on top of him. He's doing so great as swimming, I hope to keep him in some classes throughout the year.
Reeeeeeeeach
Someone got into the crayons. I wonder who?
Jack recently started Lab School for the fall semester. It's a mommy & me class that is much like a Montessori program. It's called "lab school" because the parents are the ones enrolled through the local community college. The parents go to monthly night meetings to learn about science based parenting practices and methods. The day portion of the class with the child is where the parents can practice what they've learned in the theory class, thus, "lab school."
This is before the first day of school. Since that day, Jack has asked to go to Lab School every morning. Right now we go once a week, but I'm hoping a spot will open up for 2xweek. Eamon sits with a babysitter and loves his new best friend.
Eamon's new trick: Climbing! Chairs, slides, toys, water tables, you name it and he will try to conquer it
We've come a long way. Just a short while ago Jack was terrified of the vacuum. He's not really fond of "loud noises" so this is a huge step. The vacuum is on, too! We've practiced by getting Jack his own little vacuum so he can help Mommy. He got brave and wanted to use the "big vacuum." Way to go, Little Man! I'm so proud
Eamon is in love with Barley. He loves giving him kisses, says "Ba-ba" for Barley and knows how to sign the baby version of DOG. He pats the side of his leg with his hand like he's calling the dog to him. I'll post some videos in the next entry that shows him doing it.

Vegas Part Deux
Okay this was taken Thursday night before we parted ways only to be brought together again under duress. Outside Treasure Island
This was Sunday afternoon hanging out in the Venetian pools
Walking in to the Bellagio garden. So amazing
Us at the reception
Playing video poker or blackjack at the Venetian
waiting for the ceremony to begin
I don't remember this picture
This is where I first played single deck $5 blackjack
My first Blackjack!!!!!
Us in the lobby of the Venetian
Who's bad?
That's my girl Cindy! The photographer behind all these pictures on this post
Heck yes, ready to go home.
Matt telling the bride & groom some marriage pointers. #1 - never get lost in downtown Vegas and have your wife find you while driving by in a cab #2 - Thank wife profusely and take her out to expensive dinner should #1 occur
I'm a little bit obsessed
our hotel
On the flight home I tried to get Matt to commit to taking me back for my birthday next year. I didn't get that commitment, but I do plan on going back. It was great fun with great friends for a great occassion.
VEGAS!
Last week Matt and I went on our first vacation since before we had Jack. Our friends were getting married at the Venetian so we decided to make a trip out of it. I was really apprehensive about leaving Eamon and I almost didn't go because I was so worried. I have to say that Mimi did a great job of getting up in the night with Eamon and still having enough energy to keep Jack entertained!! It seemed like the boys had a fabulous time and so did we, but I was SO SO happy to be home. I missed my babies!!
We stayed at Treasure Island and it was nicer than I expected. Here's a pic from the bridge that connects TI to the Venetian over Las Vegas Blvd.

This is us going to dinner Friday night at Mario Batali's restaurant B & B. I loved it! Matt even put on a tie on his own accord.
(Notice how we skip right over Thursday night. Let's just go ahead and pretend it didn't happen, okay? That was bachelor/bachelorette party night)
under the sign
My first time gambling in the TI casino, playing video poker Aces and I won major bucks.
In case you needed a closer look.
Us at the Bellagio aboretum Friday morning.
Cool stuff in Vegas
View from the Bellagio to Paris across the street. We ate crepes and $5 Bloody Mary's there. Cheapest drink of the whole trip
Us at the wedding
Matt's too sexy for this chaise
This was at the reception. ELVIS!! I stomped my foot and made frowny faces until Matt came with me and took a picture.
Matt playing his favorite slot machine -Kitty Glitter
In the left corner is Mario Batali's other restaurant that I didn't get to go to. Another frowny face
Me outside of the Venetian pools
The Wynn (super expensive) and the Palazzo. Both across the street from TI
down the outdoor escalator. People in Vegas don't actually use stairs, that'd be dangerous
Congratulatory handshake to the second big winner of the night - Gary with 1,700 pennies
Zoltar told my fortune
This place is nasty and awesome at the same time
Eating obscenely large hotdogs at Slots A Fun
First time (for me anyway) playing at a Blackjack table
On the plan going home.
I'm going to post more pictures on a second post that I am borrowing from my friend Cindy. Stay tuned!
