VEGAS!

Last week Matt and I went on our first vacation since before we had Jack.  Our friends were getting married at the Venetian so we decided to make a trip out of it.  I was really apprehensive about leaving Eamon and I almost didn't go because I was so worried.  I have to say that Mimi did a great job of getting up in the night with Eamon and still having enough energy to keep Jack entertained!!  It seemed like the boys had a fabulous time and so did we, but I was SO SO happy to be home.  I missed my babies!!

We stayed at Treasure Island and it was nicer than I expected.  Here's a pic from the bridge that connects TI to the Venetian over Las Vegas Blvd.

This is us going to dinner Friday night at Mario Batali's restaurant B & B.  I loved it!  Matt even put on a tie on his own accord.

(Notice how we skip right over Thursday night.  Let's just go ahead and pretend it didn't happen, okay? That was bachelor/bachelorette party night)

under the sign

My first time gambling in the TI casino, playing video poker Aces and I won major bucks.

In case you needed a closer look.

Us at the Bellagio aboretum Friday morning.

Cool stuff in Vegas

View from the Bellagio to Paris across the street.  We ate crepes and $5 Bloody Mary's there.  Cheapest drink of the whole trip

Us at the wedding

Matt's too sexy for this chaise

This was at the reception.  ELVIS!!  I stomped my foot and made frowny faces until Matt came with me and took a picture.

Matt playing his favorite slot machine -Kitty Glitter

In the left corner is Mario Batali's other restaurant that I didn't get to go to.  Another frowny face

Me outside of the Venetian pools

The Wynn (super expensive) and the Palazzo.  Both across the street from TI

down the outdoor escalator.  People in Vegas don't actually use stairs, that'd be dangerous

Congratulatory handshake to the second big winner of the night - Gary with 1,700 pennies

Zoltar told my fortune

This place is nasty and awesome at the same time

Eating obscenely large hotdogs at Slots A Fun

First time (for me anyway) playing at a Blackjack table

On the plan going home.

I'm going to post more pictures on a second post that I am borrowing from my friend Cindy.  Stay tuned!

Portraits

Finally got around to getting portraits of both boys together.  I don't think it would've been possible without Mimi's help.

Eamon is 10.5 months and Jack is 2.5 years old in these pictures.  Leave a comment below if you'd like me to send you some photos.  I have plenty!

Me and E

Sorry it's been so long since I posted last!  It has been a very, very busy last couple of weeks.  Jack just got back from his 2 week(!) vacation at Mimi and Poppy's house and then Matt and I went to Vegas for 5 days.  It's been 2 days since we got back home and I'm still recovering.

While Jack was on vacation, Eamon and I had time to really bond with each other.  I mean, he's my child so of course I've bonded to him, but this is the first time I've been able to give him one-on-one attention longer than a couple hours.  We had such a great time.  Eamon is now signing "all done, "ball", and "more" and says "Mama," "Dada" and "Baba" for Barley.  He's walking pretty fast now although he falls down A LOT.  Poor child inherited my clumsiness.  He's eating everything in sight and is such a happy, independent baby.  Yesterday he even picked up my phone and put it to his ear like he was talking.

Here are some pictures from Mommy and Eamon 2 Weeks o' Fun:

This was taken at Sweatman's BBQ in Holly Hill, SC.  Awesome BBQ place that I saw on TV.  Man, oh man, that was some good BBQ.  This is us waiting for Matt to find an ATM because, of course, the place doesn't take cards.  Country people, sheesh.

Pork ribs!

69 cents of banana pudding heaven

No more pictures, Mom

This is us at the zoo Paws On exhibit.  This kid LOVES the water!

This is at my friend's pool.  Notice his Andre the Giant stance and his "I'm too sexy" for my hat moves.

In the car going to the Asian Market.  We got to do tons of things that would've been otherwise impossible with Big Brother.  Case in point: (Below)

meeting friends at a local bar/restaurant for a 2 hour beer sampling dinner.  Cigar City Cuban Espresso Maduro is my new favorite.  It's like drinking coffee and getting drunk at the same time.

He loves pickles just like his mama!

Then it was time for Jack to come home.  I was so excited to see him!  I thought he looked 27 years old when I saw him after 2 weeks.

In the airport outside the Kennedy Space Center store.

Okay, not the greatest picture i nthe world but pretty cute.  I like Eamon peeking his little head from behind.
