February 27, 2010 - Day before Jack's 2nd Birthday
On the Saturday the day before Jack's actual birthday we had a family get-together at the house. My friend Desirae came up with her 2 kids, Diego and Gianna, to help celebrate. We got Jack a train table (Thanks Beni!) and I had this vision of him walking out from waking up the morning to an awesome track setup on the table and him just freaking out. It sorta went that way. The track was a circle and Jack calmly walked up to the table and said, "TRAIN!" about 15,000 times.

Like all 2-year olds deserve, he started the day out with a Birthday Donut. This was the first of a whole sugar-filled day. Cookies, cake, candy... everything. The poor baby was so cracked out on sugar at the end of the day he cried in his bed for about an hour before finally being able to sleep. He needed a lot of help that day going to bed. It was worth it.
He's still sleepy faced

Birthday Meal compliments of our amazing new grill. I made Matt put the chicken back on the grill so I could take a picture

Passing of the Meat. It's like the Olympic Torch.. one person can't handle the job alone

Desirae's husband Diego spent most of the time making this killer track. You rock, Diego!

Thomas birthday cake of course. Pay no attention to the hurricane candles being used as birthday candles.

Grandpa cutting the cake with Little Diego and Jack.

yummy yummy

WHY SO SERIOUS?!

Can you see the big hole he's eating out of the cake?

Jack playing one of his favorite games, "Top." Jack sits on top of their chest and then plops down. He plays it with Matt and Poppy and they both make these animal sounds like "ewywowowoeeeee"

Uncle Chris and Eamon doing the gangsta lean

Desirae's clan playing with Jack

Krystal and Steven are enjoying themselves. This must've been when they ate a whole plate of cheesy pigs in a blanket!

Barley decided that Mrs. Franqui's lap was as good a place as any to sit down
