Easter
We went to visit Mimi (what Jack is now calling Mary) and Poppy for Easter. We arrived Thursday night at about 3:30am and J & E were so excited they couldn't sleep in the car. Poppy's house is just so much fun neither of the boys slept much during our visit. Eamon kept waking up before the birds and even one day at 4am. Jack wanted to party with everyone until the wee hours of the night.

Michael swiftly taking the 3 laptop computers out of harm's (Jack's) way. Emily is playing with Eamon, she's not weirdly making goo-goo faces to the floor
Jack had a fantastic time. He is 100%, totally, absolutely in love with Poppy. Sorry Mimi, but you're just the person that feeds, changes, washes, and takes him on countless walks and park trips. Poppy has his car and the tractor!

The weather was unbelievably gorgeous. I don't think I've ever been to South Carolina in the spring time. The plants and flowers were so beautiful. Like I posted on Facebook, "SC isn't the barren wasteland of rednecks" like I originally thought. To which Michael replied, "Just because we have broken down cars in the front yard, coons and possums living in our house, and a pack of dogs roaming the streets does not make us rednecks." Mmkay.
The 2 E's enjoying the outside weather.

On Saturday Poppy took Jack to ride on a train into Charlotte. Jack had a great time for about the first 20 minutes and then realized that you have to stay in one place while riding on the train. Not so much fun anymore. But he did love it for a short time.

Sunday was Easter and Jack had his first egg hunt. It didn't take him long to figure out the difference between eggs that had candy in them and eggs that had a prize. If you shake and it makes noise - CANDY! No noise, no candy, next egg. That led to Jack eating a whole bunch of candy before lunch.
Auntie Em helping with the hunt. She also pulled Jack out of the pool the next day after he fell in playing with the dogs - yay for Aunts!

There's about 15 jellybeans in his mouth

Jack learned some of the finer points of the English language, too. "Oh God" from Uncle Peter, "Oh Jesus" from Mommy, and "Dang it!" from Mrs. Trapp. It didn't help that we were all cracking up while he was saying these things either. This kid has a way of picking out the single bad word you say in a whole paragraph.
I'm sorry I don't have more pictures but my POS camera died in the middle of the egg hunt so we missed a lot of photo ops. Maybe this hard working mama will get a new one for Mother's Day??? IT'S FOR THE BLOG!!
