Not much going on
So here are a few pictures from around the house these days...
At Cocoa Beach pool. I've never seen a baby that loves the water more than Eamon does
Jack went on vacation and he came back a swimmer! The Gestapo pool staff (as my Dad likes to call them) "recommend" the vest. It's actually nice because Jack can swim around and jump in the water without us being right on top of him. He's doing so great as swimming, I hope to keep him in some classes throughout the year.
Reeeeeeeeach
Someone got into the crayons. I wonder who?
Jack recently started Lab School for the fall semester. It's a mommy & me class that is much like a Montessori program. It's called "lab school" because the parents are the ones enrolled through the local community college. The parents go to monthly night meetings to learn about science based parenting practices and methods. The day portion of the class with the child is where the parents can practice what they've learned in the theory class, thus, "lab school."
This is before the first day of school. Since that day, Jack has asked to go to Lab School every morning. Right now we go once a week, but I'm hoping a spot will open up for 2xweek. Eamon sits with a babysitter and loves his new best friend.
Eamon's new trick: Climbing! Chairs, slides, toys, water tables, you name it and he will try to conquer it
We've come a long way. Just a short while ago Jack was terrified of the vacuum. He's not really fond of "loud noises" so this is a huge step. The vacuum is on, too! We've practiced by getting Jack his own little vacuum so he can help Mommy. He got brave and wanted to use the "big vacuum." Way to go, Little Man! I'm so proud
Eamon is in love with Barley. He loves giving him kisses, says "Ba-ba" for Barley and knows how to sign the baby version of DOG. He pats the side of his leg with his hand like he's calling the dog to him. I'll post some videos in the next entry that shows him doing it.
