Eamon's Birthday - Part 1
This past Saturday we had my family come to visit and celebrate Eamon's first birthday a week early. I don't know if it's experience or my general lacksadaisical attitude toward my youngest son, but this birthday felt a lot less stressful. I had planned to have most of the meals for the weekend prepped or possibly compelted so all I would need to do is pop it in the oven. Saturday morning came and I hadn't even shopped yet. Being prepared is overrated.

Chris and the birthday boy. After I took this picture I popped a rock and an acorn out of his mouth. Uncle Chris had no idea.
Cheers! My last minute birthday dinner: Breaded and Baked chicken drumsticks, Christmas broccoli salad (I call it Christmas becasue that's the only time I eat it), Kraft mac n cheese (don't judge me), and roasted veggies.
He loves balloons
Mommy just LOVES this new crawling up trick
Opening presents with Daddy
Not sure if this is Jack's birthday or his
Woo hoo! Train, music, little figures to put in my mouth.. joy!
Opening the present Jack picked out for him. I spent the past couple weeks explaining to Jack that it was going to be Eamon's birthday. I told Jack that he could pick out a present to buy for Eamon. I said that you should buy something that the other person likes. He thought about it for a moment and said, "Buy Eamon ball!"
Mommy getting some birthday love
It's a ball AND it has Dora on it. Score!
Watching his brother play with his new toy
A toy in each hand and one in the mouth
A firetruck ride-on toy. Thanks, Aunt Krystal!
Daddy tried to sneak in a nap on the floor (after sleeping until 11am), but Jack pounced on him with a surprise hug
After eating a huge gummy lollipop that Grandpa gave him
The standard "Raines baby drinking out of a empty beer bottle" picture
