Christmas 2010 - In South Bend, Indiana
Here we are in South Bend, Indiana spending Christmas with Grammie and Grandpa. We arrived the day before Christmas Eve at 1am. By this time both boys were ill, along with Mommy AND Daddy. It's hard dealing with two sick children at the same time... it's miserable dealing with two sick children being sick yourself. Thankfully we have a wonderful family and everyone was ready to pitch in. I wanna give special props out to Auntie Em and Uncle Mickey, but especially Emily. She was glued to the boys' sides, but she was Eamon's BFF. Thank you so much Emily!
Two sick brothers watching TV
Opening up stockings on Christmas Eve... a big bouncy ball!
And fruit snacks !
Emily helping to open presents
You can't keep a sick kid indoors especially when there's snow involved.
The snowman that Emily and Jack built. What a good idea using radishes for buttons!
Christmas morning... after the boys' puke session was over... time for presents. Uncle Peter pulls through with a totally awesome fire truck. This is a favorite here at home now.
This is how he spent most of his vacation... in bed and watching movies. Oh, and throwing up.
Passing down the wisdom of the ages
Opening the best presents from Aunt Patti
Overalls, our favorite
Sharing something sweet with Grandpa
Eamon is not a big fan of the snow. I know he seems happy here but this was taken after about 10 minutes of crying, falling, and kicking
Checking out the snowman
Daddy makes the best snowballs
Plan B: maybe walking in a too tight snowsuit was the problem.. .how about a stroll?
This is the second time in his life that he's fallen asleep on the couch. So sick.
Family Portrait!
Playing with one of his favorite toys ... James' cell phone.
Playing peek-a-boo with Auntie Em
I really like the lighting in this picture. Of course, Eamon's doing something he shouldn't be doing. Another theme of the trip.
Ohhh, touch touch touch
I like this picture, too. Eamon and Jamie really bonded
The big family portrait complete with two screaming babies
All the grand- and great-kids. My face looks so ridiculous because Eamon is literally diving out of Grandpa's lap. Sorry, Grandpa, it's nothing personal.
Jack, Mikey and James tobogganing in the backyard
Heeeeeey
It's a bad shot but this is Jack's first ride on a sled down a hill. I took my first ride just after him. It was so much fun!
Okay this time in the snow, he's not actually touching the snow and he's happy!
