Cocoa Beach Air Show

I've never been to an air show before.  We had them all the time in my hometown and I know tons of people that went.  I just never did.  Why?!?!  It was so awesome!  The whole time all I kept saying was "Oh, shiznit!"  I was amazed.  Now if you think I'm being exuberant, you should've seen Jack.  He was coming out of his pants.  He was literally screaming with delight.  "See the smoke?!?!"  "See the jet plane?!?"  "Up up up, down down down."

We've been seeing the jets fly over our house for about a week now (we live very close to a major Air Force base) so Jack was pretty used to the noise.  The first time we heard it we were playing outside and the look on his face was pure terror.  Once we saw it and I explained that it was just a fast airplane called a jet, he was hooked.  One day I needed to pick up a package at the post office and Jack literally refused to leave the house.  "No, Mommy.  I need to stay at my house and see the jet plane."

Confession: I staged this picture.

Crazy hair kid

He's covering his ears here.

Imagine Matt as a wall - as in "climbing the walls" with excitement

E did really well, too.  Occasionally when the jets were really loud he would saunter back over to our blanket.

So cool!!

I took about 15,000 pictures just to get this one.  Surprisingly it's pretty hard to get a constantly moving baby and super fast jet planes in the same frame.

I tried to get a brotherly love photo but E was very involved with the piece of trash he found buried in the sand.
