First Days of School

The boys have started school at BCC Lab School.  Jack is in preschool which means he goes 3 days a week for 3 hours a day and one of the days I "work" at the school.  Eamon goes once a week in the toddler program which means it's kind of like a Mommy/Daddy and Me class.  It's the same format as preschool, just a little less involved.  They are both loving it while Matt and I are enjoying our parenting classes.  Here are the pictures from their respective first days...

First day of school breakfast - french toast

So excited!

Showing off his new train backpack that his Mimi bought him.

"The sun is in my eyes, Mom!"

Standing in front of his cubby

Walking to outdoor circle-time

Waiting patiently on his "carpet square"

The whole gang for morning circle time.  Parents are not required to stay.  I, however, was instructed by my loving 3.5 year old son to LEAVE.
I'm hiding behind a tree.
So there.

Doing his breathing exercises

Criss-cross applesauce - for the first time!!

Finding his picture off the board for attendance

Brain stimulation

I didn't stay for the rest of the school day... I'll get some pictures of the daily routine later in the semester when its not so crazy.  This is playground time, doing one of  his favorite things - playing in the sand!

And now on to Little Big Man.  Wearing his new-to-him backpack that Mimi bought
And his spiffy new Skidders shoes.

In the front yard.

He doesn't really know what's going on... hence the less than excited face.

Playing before circle time

Circle time with his red felt circle.

Typical stank-face

Engrossed in the rice table

Fun trail outside

In the see-saw with his BFF

He's ACTUALLY following directions!

Check out those superior gross motor skills!

Showing off his stickers.

Lest we forget, the ever important Running Up and Down the Hill

Playing in the block room with the awesome trucks

Showing off his felt board creation... my inspiration for his birthday present

Snack time for hungry toddlers

Music with Mommy's favorite song - Scarves!  He loves playing with these.  I also plan on getting some of these for his birthday.   Open-ended imaginative toys are the way to go!

He LOVES the tire swing!!
